The World Bank is set to help Nigeria to come up with the best economic policies that will help the country stabilize its dwindling economy.
Mr Rachid Benmessaoud, the World Bank’s Country Director for Nigeria, said that the World Bank will be taking steps to address the leading governance issues that will brighten Nigerian administration. Benmessaoud said his institution was requested by the Nigerian government, to engage in a rapid recovery and peace building assessment; that will later be presented to the federal government in both hard and software formats
According to him, the World Bank will also help Nigeria to improve its power sector and is in talks with cabinet ministers about the diversification of revenue from oil.
