In regards to a joint venture partnership between Uganda’s Ministry of Agriculture and two UK firms, Alvan Blanch Development Company and Colas Ltd, the United Kingdom will be investing Shs 577.6 billion into Uganda’s agricultural sector to improve productivity and post-harvest handling levels in order to meet international market standard.

The Agriculture Minister, Vincent Ssempijja stated that the implementation of the five-year Agriculture Sector Strategic Plan which began 2015/2016 is targeted towards contributing to the overall development goal of the country.
