After the twin suicide attack which claimed the lives of over five people at the University of Maiduguri Mosque two weeks ago, another twin suicide attack has hit Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. According to an eye witness, the first blast had occurred in the early hours of 2am, while the second did not come till about 5:30am.

The eye witness also explained that the first suicide bomber may have targeted the home of a youth vigilante, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), who is known to do routine checks at major roads in the town.

The second suicide bomber detonated the explosive at the central Mosque in Kaleri, when Muslim faithfuls were observing the early morning prayers but did not succeed and died. Two people were injured.
