Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would take back its inheritance from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Mr. Fayose, said during an interdenominational thanksgiving service to celebrate the validation of Udom Emmanuel’s election as governor of Akwa Ibom state, said the current generation of PDP was going to make a difference.
He said, that in order to take back power, there was need for the PDP to put their house in order by working as a united front and putting the past behind them.  He noted that their inheritance had been taken by deception, propaganda and hidden agendas. he conratulated the new governor and assured him that the party was behind him. He added that they would work with him to ensure that things ran smoothly and that his success in his new seat was also a success for the party as a whole, and they were proud of him and his hard work.
