Mr Remi Agwuzie, a legal practitioner, made a call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Calabar, Cross River state. He said,“They should allow the Senate President to face his trial as an individual not as Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We have 109 Senators and when one is facing trial others should continue to make laws for the country“.
The lawyer pointed out that the law should be allowed to run in full force because Saraki is on trial as an individual not the senate as an institution. He also commended President Buhari for fighting corruption in Nigeria describing it as courageous and bold.
