Leading Nigerian debit card company Verve International, has partnered with registrars service provider First Registrars, to launch an innovative credit card solution FirstDividend Plus Prepaid Card, which enables shareholders receive dividends directly to their electronic cards and make cash withdrawals with or without a bank account.

In an official statement, Verve explained that “unclaimed dividend especially amongst retail shareholders has been a challenge in the capital market”, but with the FirstDividend Plus Prepaid Card the hassles and challenges of claiming dividends are boycotted as payment goes directly to carriers of the card upon authorization.

Verve CEO, Mr. Charles Ifedi, added that the company “is proud to have been selected to support this new product which is the first of its kind.”

According to hm,  the “revolutionary” product will ensure all shareholders, including the unbanked, do not suffer lost income.

The Verve branded FirstDividend Plus Prepaid Card was designed to support the financial inclusion drive of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as part of the cashless policy. It addresses a local challenge with an innovative solution, which is critical to the adoption and acceptance of e-payment services.
