ExecuJet Africa, a unit of zurich-based Execujet Aviation Group, has partnered with Acher Aviation, leaders in off-shore helicopter operations, to offer a range of services including helicopter management and charter, as well as specialized support to the oil, gas, mining and resource exploration sectors.

ExecuJet which specializes in aircraft management, sales and service, has through the partnership increased it’s fleet to include three helicopters from Acher Aviation, plus access to other models. One of the newly added aircraft, a six-passenger Eurocopter EC310 completed its first charter flight during November.

“ExecuJet is continuously exploring solutions for the business and private charter industry and the inclusion of helicopters within the fleet is a welcome addition to our world-class business and private charter services. We believe our helicopter charter and management services will be of particular interest to our customers in the mining sector, due to the remote areas and harsh conditions in which employees have to operate,” says Chris Frost, Charter Business Development Manager, ExecuJet Africa.

In October, the African aviation service provider, opened a world-class fixed based operations (FBO) facility at Lagos’ Mohammed Murtala Airport in another move to strengthen presence in the emerging African market.

The specialised services available to the oil, gas and mining sectors include hoisting operations, oil pipeline inspections, equipment and cargo transportation, and remote location support.

The ExecuJet Aviation Group is a leading global business aviation organisation with operations in six regions – Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, embracing a workforce of over 830 experienced staff. The aviation group manages 150 business jets worldwide and operates sixteen world-class FBO facilities worldwide.
