Barrister (Mrs) Ramatu Umar – Bako LLB BL MIPM MPMI PGCONDEV is a qualified legal practitioner of over 11 years post call to bar experience. Her area of expertise spans from Project management, Human Resources management and Advocacy, Capacity Building and Strategic Leadership training. She has worked as a legal practitioner under a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and with various local and international organizations. In recognition of her laudable achievements for women and with women initiatives, she was appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of Women in the New Nigeria for Empowerment and Positive Change (WINN) and a member of several organizations namely: International federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA), Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Association of Project Managers (APM) UK, Institute of Customer Service (ICS) UK, Open University Alumni UK, Nigerian Institute of Public Management and the Nigerian Portfolio Management Institute among many others.
She has contributed to many publications and is currently a contributor for the Capital Territory Law review. She was the first face of “Tozali magazine” and was interviewed for her work for Northern women as cover story in 2007.
