D-Box a portable ventilation device has been inaugurated by Nigeria-trained doctor, Dayo Olakulehin.
Olakulehin, during the product inauguration, said the D-Box is not only cost-effective and power-friendly compared to existing ventilators it is also rechargeable. The D-Box is user friendly and can be used by people in rural areas where access to skilled health professionals is a challenge and where electricity is scarce.
He said that it was built particularly to suit the needs of those in developing countries such as Nigeria, where a large number of people die due to respiratory challenges; because of lack of such medical equipment. The manual type in use currently is inefficient as it requires manpower to operate it.
