today announced Booz & Company has officially joined its 157-country network of firms.

Following the completion of all regulatory approvals for the acquisition, Booz & Company is now to be called Strategy& (pronounced Strategy and).

“Today signifies an important step for PwC, our clients and stakeholders,” said Dennis Nally, Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers International.

Mr Nally noted that there was need for the right strategy and execution ability to face organizational threats; this he said PwC and Strategy& would offer, as they work to help businesses around the world build global capabilities.

He said the combination of both companies “will see PwC lead the way in changing the landscape of the global consulting business”.

PwC Africa Senior Partner, Suresh Kana added that the addition of Strategy&, a company that tackles a strategic challenge with the best suitable experts, will afford the PwC Network opportunity to have more talents to choose from.

Suresh said PwC Africa would tap into this global resource to assist stakeholders solve important problems.

Strategy& (Booz & Company’s new name) would be used alongside the PwC name and brand to reflect the strength in strategy consulting which the company is known for, and would bring to the PwC Network.

CEO of Strategy&, Cesare Mainardi expressed delight at the development, noting that PwC’s strength in the professional services world and the company’s strategy prowess would help them offer clients opportunities for businesses growth.

“We have the footprint, the scale, the resources, and the proven capabilities to help global enterprises every step of the way from strategy to outcomes. It’s an exciting prospect,” Mainardi adds.
