Nigeria’s Next Supermodel is fast preparing for the next series of the popular model search TV show scheduled for later this year. The latest from the NNSM camp is the promotional images for the next series titled “Shades of You”. Lensed by Italian photographer Emilio Conti and featuring former NNSM winners and runners up – now of Isis Models, Aisha Bello, Claudia Adelu, Bunmi Ademokoya, Eunice Eyo and Imade Ogbewi, if the images are anything to go by, we’re in for another spectacular show for Season 6.

Mr. Abayomi Usim, the new creative director for Nigeria’s Next Supermodel says this year’s show tagged the ‘’Shades of You’’ is to bring positive change in the lives of models living in Africa.

This year’s edition will see the top five finalists for Africa’s Next Supermodel in camp with selected Nigeria finalists, and the winner and runners up will be announced in Lagos.

Nigeria’s Next Supermodel was conceived by Joan Okorududu in 2007 after she came back to Nigeria from Ford Model Search with Lexy Mojo and decided to start a model search called Nigeria’s Next Supermodel in a bid to join Nigeria to the rest of the world and to find Nigeria’s next super model in a reality TV show.

For over six years, the show has gained unprecedented recognition  locally and internationally with previous sponsors like Dark and Lovely, Power Horse, Bank of Industry, L’Oreal Paris, Swarovski Austria, Hardley Apartments and First Group supporting what is Nigeria’s first ever model search of international standards. NNSM has also proved its credentials with models from past editions participating at major fashion weeks around the world.

Olubunmi Ademokoya opened AFI Mercedes Benz Johannesburg Fashion Week this year and last year ‘NNSM models attended the prestigious BET Rip the Runway casting in New York where Bunmi was chosen to open the entire show and walk for all the designers including Laquan Smith. Recently Bunmi was  featured  in Stefan Roland brand campaign in Cape Town.

The 2012 April  issue of Glamour and Marie Claire South Africa features Claudia Adelu, winner of 2010 NNSM, and Bunmi Ademokoya. They have also been featured in FAB, Colleczione Magazine, Moda Style International, Elle Magazine, Pride Magazine UK , Complete Fashion and other Nigeria magazines.
