MASSMART hopes to grow its food retail business from about R7bn to about R20bn over the next five years, CEO Grant Pattison said on Wednesday.

“In five years’ time, we hope to have about 100 Cambridge stores (targeting the lower end of the market) and 50 Foodco stores,” he said as the company struggled to contain costs in its first six months as a Walmart subsidiary. Click here to read more
