Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State governor, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, ordered the opening of Igando Relief Camp of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), to persons displaced from the recent Ile-Epo pipeline explosion in Abule Egba.

 

Spokesman of LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor affirmed the announcement in a statement stating that the governor of Lagos state gave a directive that all internally displaced victims from the explosion should be taken to the camp at Igando with immediate effect.

 

Okunbor revealed that more than 300 people lost their shelters as over 20 houses were completely burnt down as a result of the explosion.
