Africa-focused communications services provider, Internet Solutions (IS) has made its third acquisition this year by purchasing business continuity management service company, ContinuitySA (CSA).

The deal will see CSA retain brand and operational autonomy as well as its vendor neutral stance, while its CEO, Michael Davies will also remain head of the company.

IS and CSA hopes to leverage on key mutual infrastructure assets as well as professional services reach and capability.

“For example, CSA’s work area recovery services provide highly secure facilities and this combined with IS’s capability to deliver immediate communications services through its VoIP solutions, means businesses will be able remain online and employees productive during any disruptive situation,” IS Chief Solutions Officer, Sean Nourse explained.

IS has data centre in South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. The business deal will offer additional data centre spread to South Africa (Gauteng and Cape Town), Botswana, Mozambique and Mauritius where CSA currently operates. It will also enable customers to get full data recovery and business continuity services from a single provider.

Other services to be offered by both companies exclusively include data recovery, data replication, syndicated hardware, and work area recovery services.

IS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dimension Data, is a communications services provider of IP-based connectivity, communication, data centre, cloud and carrier services.
