High school students in Mbabane, one of the largest cities in Swaziland, have reportedly blamed their failure in recent examinations on their “distractive” female teachers. The students reportedly said the protruding outgrown nipples of their female teachers at times, and an open cleavage at other times, often made them lose concentration in class and during exams.

A lot of things have been blamed for the failure of students in recent times. From the evolution of technology to addiction of social media, and a number of social vices. More often than not, parents have received much backlash for academic failure of their wards. To some people, the inability of parents to pay proper attention to their kids and give them every support they might be needing after school is a contributing factor. However, the people that have received much blame for the failure of students are the teachers. As much as parents pay to get their students taught, it is the job of the teachers to ensure knowledge is imparted unto students. Inability to do so has been tagged unintelligence of teacher.

The students in Mbabane have now revealed a new reason; it might not be entirely new after all, at least not in schools with majority male. The students exonerated their responsiveness to sexual stimulus saying they were old enough to be aroused by sexually provocative dressings of their teachers, and as such, the blame should be that of their teachers who dress to school in an unprofessional manner. However, the students added that the reluctance of the teachers to teach at times and their grossly unprofessional attitude in class also contributed to their failure.

Following the publication by Times of Swaziland, the teachers were on Thursday summoned by the Deputy Prime Minister of Swaziland, Paul Dlamini, to a meeting with Social Welfare Department officers.

The male dominated Ngcoseni Central High School recorded huge failures in the past two years with about 166 students failing in 2016.
