The prestigious ARISE magazine is set to début during Mercedez Benz Fashion Week in New York. Arise continues to stand true to its vision of highlighting African achievement through fashion, music, culture and politics.

The first NYFW show in 2009 saw models like Grace Jones walk alongside models Liya Kebede, Alek Wek, Lara Stone, Tyson Beckford and Behati Prinsloo, wearing creations by XULY Bët, Stoned Cherrie, Tiffany Amber and Momo.

The fifth ARISE collective titled “African Icons” will attract top bloggers, models, celebrities and socialites. This year five African designers are set to show their collections: Gavin Rajah, Maki Oh, Ozwald Boateng, Tiffany Amber and Tsemaye Binitie.
