One-time security adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Sambo Dasuki, was arrested by the EFCC after being implicated in a $2.2 billion financial scam not too long ago. For the last month, Dasuki has been in the Nigerian media because of this investigation to his alleged role in diverting money meant for the procurement of weapons to aid in the fight against Boko Haram. As events unfurled, Dasuki gave up names of other people allegedly involved, with Raymond Dokpesi and former governor of Sokoto state, Bafarawa, as the first victims.

Today, however, Nigerian twitter users share their thoughts as the new developments evolve. #DasukiGate is the key hashtag and the issues being discussed surround the release of more names which have been revealed. The larger part of the conversation is concerned with how the money was disbursed and trying to decipher if this is not just a witch hunt.
