Wema Bank, the custodian of Nigeria’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, revealed its women proposition – Sara By Wema – at the 2019 Songversation with Aramide. The event was a night of conversation and music, which took place on March 29, at Terra Kulture in commemoration of International Women’s Day. 

Sara By Wema is designed to bring more women together, educate and support them to reach for financial independence and economic growth. The proposition will leverage on Wema Bank’s array of products designed to support women to achieve both their business and personal financial and developmental goals. 

Sara By Wema offers benefits such as low-interest business loans, free SME toolkit, business advisory services, personal development and business management resources, and access to high-interest savings plans and is exclusive to women of all ages and socioeconomic background.

The event which was powered by Wema Bank in partnership with brands such as Mouka Foam, LIRS, MTV Base and many more did not only thrill guests to great music, it also celebrated women who have made exploits in their different professional fields and have, in their own ways, given back to society.

Inspiring women such as Kemi Onabanjo, management consultant and blogger; Omoyemi Akerele, an icon in Nigeria’s fashion industry and artistic director of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week; Oghenekaro Omu, founder of Sanitary Aid for Nigerian Girls (S.A.N.G),; and Temie Giwa-Tubosun, founder of Lifebank, Nigeria, were honoured for their individual works in making our society better.

The audience was thrilled by the outstanding performances of Aramide alongside other invited artists such as Praiz, Ric Hassani, Sir Dauda, GoodGirlLa, Banke, Temmie Ovwasa, Temilayo and many more, setting a perfect atmosphere to launch such a promising proposition for women – Sara By Wema.
