The AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2015 award winning movie, 30 Days in Atlanta, has been acknowledged as the highest grossing movie in the history of Nigeria with N132 million ($696,366) made since its release in October 2014. Ben Bruce, the owner of Nigerian media group, Silverbird, confirmed this in a countdown of the six top grossing movies in the country, where he stated how much they each made.

Within the first one week of its Lagos premiere last year, the movie made about $400,000. And by December 2014, had grossed almost $700,000. Ben Bruce believes the movie could pull as much as $1 million in revenue. “I predict that when the run is complete it would have earned $1 million or close to N200 million.”
