The case involving Paralympic gold medalist, Oscar Pistorius, who was sentenced in July for murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in 2013 reopens on the 26th of August 2016.
Oscar Pistorius’ lawyers say “enough is enough” as they plan to argue that in court during the re-opening of the case. This date has been fixed to hear an appeal by the state prosecutors as against his six-year murder sentence on the grounds that it is too charitable.
Consequently, the National Prosecuting Authority spokesman, Luvuyo Mfaku, said the case would be heard at the High Court in Pretoria next Friday before the original trial Judge Thokozile Masipa. However, Oscar Pistorius is not expected to attend the hearing.
