Today marks the day before the third anniversary of the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls by Boko Haram and President Buhari announced that the Nigerian government is in talks to secure the release of the remaining captive Chibok girls.

The government “is in constant touch through negotiations, through local intelligence to secure the release of the remaining girls and other abducted persons unharmed,” President Muhammadu Buhari said in a statement.
