The Super Eagles team list for the players against Egypt is said to be revealed by Thursday 3 March by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). The list is much anticipated as the game against Egypt will determine whether Nigeria qualifies for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). The match against the Egyptian Pharoahs will be played at the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna on March 25, with the return leg in Cairo four days later.The vice-chairman of the NFF technical committee, Ahmed Yusuf, said that the committee is set to meet in Abuja to deliberate on the list of players submitted by the new coaching crew led by Samson Siasia.
It is reported that the new coach Samson Siasia is set to recall Vincent Enyeama and striker, Emmanuel Emenike ahead of next month’s African Nations Cup (AFCON) qualifiers against Egypt. However, Emmanuel Emenike, who resigned for the  national team in October 2015, has rejected a possible return to the squad. Emenike who won the golden boot at the 2013 AFCON tournament which Nigeria won under Stephen Keshi, insisted that he would not return to the national team. he said he made his decision and will not be going back on it.
