Islam in practice is not only a religion but a political, social and economic ideology. It substitute language, tradition and culture and finally the constitutional state with Islamic state and government. In many northern state the Sheria law is already an institution and in practice. The last stage is the capture of state power which Boko Haram tried and so far fail to overcome.
In recent past a weapon cache was unearthed in Kano and a group of Lebanese were arrested and tried. Lebanon is home to Hezbollah led by Hassan Nasrellah an Iranian backed Shia Islam group. It has a well armed military wing that has given the Israeli army a bloody nose in battles. Many countries tolerate Islamic ideological group under the rule of law, religious freedom, and constitution only to be toppled by them. The long term solution is to take the foot soldiers away by mass all inclusive education otherwise the northern elite would soon find themselves in exile assuming they manage to escape.
