Nigeria’s acting President Yemi Osinbajo has reiterated that transparency is one of the critical pillars of President Mohammadu Buhari’s Administration, with particular emphasis on the extractive Industry.
Osinbajo made this clarification when he received a delegation from the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) at the Presidential Villa Abuja. State House Correspondent Mariah reports that it is the first major assignment since Professor Yemi Osinbajo’s stepped in as acting President relieving temporarily, President Muhammadu who is on a six day vacation. It is an opportunity for the Incoming Chairman of EITI to make his observations on the restructuring of NNPC, and other developments in the Oil sector. Osinbajo says the Government will also explore how more revenue can be generated.
