The Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his government will build resilient and viable cities in Nigeria. The President made the promise on Thursday, April 14, 2016, during meetings with the Mayor of Shanghai, Yang Xiong and the Director of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, Liu Fangzhou.
He said that efforts have already been made to identify the development of infrastructure, which will bring industries that would create jobs and help Nigeria to diversify the economy. He said that his administration is going to work hard to achieve these within the period in which they remain in power. President Buhari added that Nigerians will be able to see progress and feel the impact of the changes and developments his administration has in store. Buhari has secured a loan facility of $6 billion from China to invest in Nigeria’s infrastructural development.
