More than 70 exhibitors from 19 countries are billed to showcase their latest technologies during the second edition of the agrofood & plastprintpack trade fair holding in Lagos later in the month.
The three-day exhibition organised by the German Trade Show Specialists Fairtrade will bring together, participants from Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America. According to the organisers, “Agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria 2016 is supported by the delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Advantage Austria, delegation of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nigeria, Nigerian-German Business Association and Institute of Packaging, Nigeria. The German Engineering Federation will host a German Pavilion and Symposium on food and drink while the French Agro-food Association will host the French Pavilion.” They quoted the Managing Director of the German Trade Show Specialists Fairtrade, Martin März, as saying that the exhibition would support the Nigerian agro-food industry to meet its challenges in food hygiene, safety, cost-efficiency and diversity of food and beverage products. “It is all about technology exchange and cooperation between Nigerian food and drink producers and international specialists,” she said.
