Fast-growing online food delivery service Hellofood has been endorsed as one of the six apps to be pre-installed on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S5 device in Nigeria.

Samsung West Africa Director, Emmanouil Revmatas, said Hellofood was chosen as part of the Galaxy Gift Package because of the simplicity of its service and the “the fastest way to order food online from your favorite restaurants.”

Hellofood allows users download the app, search for favourite restaurants in the area and then place an order that will be delivered on your doorsteps. Customers will then pay cash on delivery to make the process even
quicker and simpler.

Hellofood founders, Africa Internet Holding,  say the app has become the most popular food delivery app on the continent and this latest partnership demonstrates the huge consumer demand for high-quality and easy-to-use apps.

“This latest partnership with Samsung is very exciting for us”, said James Gibson, Managing Director of Hellofood Nigeria. “Being featured within the Galaxy Gift Package will help us to extend our reach to an even wider audience, and we look forward to being able to provide a range of new customers with a convenient and easy way to order food online.”

Hellofood recently signed a similar deal with Nokia to feature on its Smartphones globally. It also has an extensive pre-installation deal with four of the top five network operators in Africa.

Hellofood currently works with over 300 restaurants across several cities, including Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Continentally, the app enjoys tremendous development in bridging the gap of food delivery in 11 African countries, thanks to the growing use of Smartphones in Africa.
