On Wednesday, the Nigeria Arm-wrestling Federation disclosed that it had concluded plans to host at least 15 African countries at this year’s African Arm-wrestling Championships in Lagos. According to Olatunji Jackson, the President of NWF, this will be the first time Nigeria would host the African Arm-wrestling Championships scheduled to take place from June 28th to July 2nd, 2017.

According to Olatunji, “We secured the hosting rights at the last African Congress held in Bulgaria during the last Arm-wrestling World Championships in September 2016.”

“It is a big deal for us all as Nigerians and not just the federation. All hands are on deck to ensure a successful hosting and hospitality to the foreigners coming.

“We need to show the foreigners the good side of Nigeria so that when they return to their respective countries, they will have good tales to tell.”

Olatunji therefore beckoned on both companies and individuals to partner with the federation for a successful tournament, he also advised the country’s intending participants to be on their best behavior and be nice to visitors.
