VENTURES AFRICA – Nic Rudnick, CEO of leading independent IT company in East, Southern and Central Africa, Liquid Telecom has been named in Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Power 100, making him one of the most influential and powerful people in Africa, and the Global Telecom industry.

“This is the third time Nic Rudnick,  founder and CEO of Liquid Telecom Group is appearing on the list in three consecutive years,” a press statement released to Ventures Africa stated.

Global Telecoms Business is a telecom industry-focused media outlet that  profiles senior managers who run telecoms carriers worldwide.

Nic who came 60th on the list of 100 most influential and powerful, is among the four CEOs from telecommunication companies from Africa who were listed on the GTB Power 100. Next on the list was CEO of WIOCC, Chris Wood who came 62nd , followed by Sifiso Dabengwa, Group President and CEO of MTN who was in the 87th  position and Shamel Joosub, CEO and Executive Director of Vodacom, who came 91st.

Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook, Senior executives from Skype, Netflix, Facebook, Verizon and AT&T as well as head of companies such as Ericsson, Huawei, Apple and Samsung maintain top positions on the list.

Liquid Telecom, was founded based on a conviction that every individual has the right to telecommunication services and the vision of Africa being connected by one independent, open access network.

The company provides connectivity from five main subsea cable systems landing in Africa; EASSY, SEACOM, TEAMs, WACS and SAT3. The company currently has operations in more than 10 African countries including Lesotho, DRC, Mauritius, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa.
