Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari dissolved the executive team of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and approved the reconstitution of a new management team of the corporation on Wednesday. Ahmed Lawan Kuru was appointed to replace Mustafa Chike-Obi.
Surprisingly the new Managing Director and Aminu Ismail, one of the executive directors, both attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, worked with Enterprise Bank which was sold by AMCON to Heritage Bank and are also northerners. Could there be a reason for this or is it a mere coincidence?
