The former CEO of Old Mutual Zimbabwe, Luke Ngwerume, on Friday said he had started ZimSelector.com, which is aimed at offering online financial services “aggregation and product comparison.”

ZimSelector has been made to take financial services providers to a mutual platform allowing and assisting Zimbabweans to find and select their products on the net.

Banks, medical aid and insurance companies will have “mini sites” on ZimSelector.

Ngwerume said the idea came to him after it became apparent that there was the need in Zimbabwe for simple and easy financial products.

“We have been very passionate about the need for more transparency in the structure and pricing of financial products and that ZimSelector intends to bring this to the market,” Ngwerume said.

“We would do this by placing the customer at the center, allowing them to compare and make a decision without any pressure being brought to bear on them.”

He believes that clients want to be able to collect their own information before making a purchase.
