The island of Madagascar is located between the Indian Ocean and the Mozambican channel – 250 miles off the eastern coast of Africa across the Mozambique Channel, just south of the equator. Although it is one of the poorest countries in the world, perhaps that is one of the reasons why visitors can get so many rare things at an affordable rate. However, Madagascar remains the right destination for the thirsty adventurers and sporting braves, for they will be amazed by the profusion of activities. Landscapes and activities vary according to climatic zones: highlands and rice paddies, tropical forest, savanna, beaches and turquoise waters are a must-see.
