Dangote Cement Plc. on Tuesday regained its position as the biggest listed firm on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as sell-offs were witnessed in MTN Nigeria’s shares.

MTN Nigeria had on Monday leapfrogged Dangote Cement, becoming the most capitalized company on the bourse just three months after its listing. The telecoms operator overthrew Dangote Cement by N1 billion as its market capitalization stood at N2.82 trillion as against Dangote Cement’s N2.81 trillion.

However, this feat was short-lived as Dangote Cement saw an increase in its share price, which pushed its market capitalization to N2.83 trillion, compared to MTN’s valuation of N2.69 trillion.
