Barely a month after it unveiled the new BMW 7 Series Limousine into the Nigerian market, the sole distributor of BMW in the country, Coscharis Motors, has introduced another luxurious brand – new 2013 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. The new Coupe is the first four-door coupe brand from the German manufacturer.

Described as “one of the most rare – a compelling spectacle few people will ever experience,” the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is a standard 8-speed sport automatic transmission offered in three trims: 640i Gran Coupe, 650i Gran Coupe and 650i xDrive Gran Coupe. The new four-door wheel appears to be a response to outstanding models such as the Mercedes CLS-Class and the Porsche Panamera.

In his remark, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Coscharis Group, Cosmas Maduka said the new automobile innovation came as a step to provide the local market with the best automobiles in the world adding that it is a vision of BMW at its purest, especially with its in-built new V8 engine that made it a ground breaking lower emission performance vehicle.

Describing the features of the new automobile, Maduka said “The all-new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is a vehicle whose uniqueness not only has to be seen but also experienced. The opportunity of a test drive is a very special exciting possibility and in this regard, we provide opportunities for test-drives. The engines of the all-new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe deliver surging performance to make every trip a fascinating experience for driver and passengers alike.”

He added that, “This sports car response is further enhanced by the outstanding agility of the Gran Coupe chassis and an innovative standard 8-speed sport automatic transmission that makes gear changes, especially quick and smooth while reducing engine noise at high speed.”

Maduka also noted that the four-door is not strictly about performance, but an automobile with “a blend of elegance, exclusivity and athleticism.”

He stated that “The target group of the all-new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is primarily male, middle aged and highly successful professionals” due to its status symbol which will set them apart  from the mainstream.

The car is valued from about $150,000 (N23.5 million).

Coscharis Group has been the sole distributor of the BMW brand in Nigeria for the last 12 years.
