British Airways has launched a new service to Algeria’s capital city from London Gatwick, reports Eturbonews. The new service is expected to commence this summer with seven flights a week from Heathrow-Gatwick to Algiers.

Algeria’s capital city, Algiers, leads to Mediterranean ports of North Africa. It mixes past with present with 17th-century mosques and Ottoman-style palaces in the hilltop Kasbah city with a Mediterranean harbour.

The newly launched flights is one of five routes to North Africa offered by British Airways, the others being Cairo in Egypt, Tripoli, Marrakech and Tunis.
