On Thursday, 15th September 2016, the Ministry of Aviation confirmed the development by the United Nations to set up two aviation security training schools in Nigeria aimed at supporting the nation’s over-all counter- terrorism.

According to the statement, the aviation training schools in Nigeria are in accordance with the federal government’s vision towards turning around the aviation sector to meet global standards in infrastructure, safety and security.

The Minister of state for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has been briefed on the development by the United Nations-appointed Project Manager for the schools.
