The number one telecommunication giant, Apple, has changed its pricing policy in Nigeria and 8 other countries. This is to enable potential purchases made by users of the Apple App Store to be shown in their domestic currency, instead of the United State Dollar. However, the 8 other countries includes Egypt, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Tanzania and Vietnam.

“We will automatically assign a respective price for current and future price intervals for your subscriptions to the nearest retail available in the local currencies,” the company notified developers.

Consequently, the company stated that developers have been sent a mail to notify them of changes in the pricing policy as their proceeds will be changed from US Dollars to the local currency used to purchase their products.
