Anne Kansiime, the multi-award winning comedian who is hailed as East Africa and in fact Africa’s comedy queen, is set to take her world tour to Harare, Zimbabwe, on November 14. She will perform alongside local Zimbabwean comedians, Carl Joshua Ncube and Doc Vikela at the 7 Arts Theatre. The organisers of her show in Zimbabwe are certain her visit will positively influence comedy in the country and also leave a lasting impression on the industry.
The tour’s schedule was announced on the celebrity’s website, where she also indicated that plans of touring the UK, Botswana, South Africa and the USA are underway.
Kansiime – full name Kansiime Kubiryaba Anne – is famous for her short and hilarious video skits on social media. Recently answersafrica.com published a top 10 African comedians list, but Anne was nowhere to be found on it, even though she beat the comedian in the number two spot – Basket Mouth – for Favorite Comedian in the Nollywood and African People’s Choice Award.
