With the spread of the Ebola epidemic slowing, the World Health Organisation has warned against any form of complacency after a recent spike in fresh cases. The worst Ebola epidemic in history broke out in late 2013 in Guinea and has since then killed a total of over 9,000 persons.

They want to achieve zero new Ebola cases in 60 days from 15th Feb. 2015”. However, new cases of the virus increased for the second consecutive week, with 144 new reported cases confirmed in the week to February 8, 2015. The WHO said on its official website.

65 new confirmed cases have been reported in Guinea, compared with 39 the week before. Liberia on the other hand continues to report a low number of new cases, Sierra Leone has 76 new confirmed cases.
