The just concluded Africa Business Conference (held Saturday March 3rd), was yet another platform for young Africans everywhere to connect at Havard Business School and discuss key issues affecting the region.

Themed, “Africa Incorporated: Cultivating an Integrated Market,” the conference was hosted by the Africa Business Club, a member of Student Clubs of HBS, Inc. According to the information published on the conference’s website, the theme for the 14th edition of the conference was coined in “acknowledgement that the continent is at a turning point. Internally, African citizens and consumers are demanding more and better products and services. Externally, rapidly emerging markets in Asia and elsewhere present the potential for new partnerships. In light of these changes, business leaders in Africa face unprecedented opportunity.”

But what is an integrated Africa? Click the link to watch the video.

Regarded as the “world’s largest student-run event focused on business in Africa”, HBCABC brought together students, business leaders, educators and other stakeholders to share ideas and explore emerging business opportunities.

Aside the physical event that took place in Boston, participants also converged online, using twitter hashtag #HBSABC to connect and discuss. The conversation from the conference was carried forward to this social network, allowing maximum participation. Those who were not physically present, like my humble self :), had the unique opportunity to follow the event- presentation, keynote address etc via Twitter. Click here to checkout the curation.
