this weekend the African continent will be lit up with mouth-watering clashes as the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil begins.

In Yaounde the Cameroonian capital, four time African champions, the Indomitable lions will be hoping to make their seventh world cup appearance when they host Congo DR.

Captain Joseph Yobo is out injured while coach Stephen Keshi dropped English Premier League stars Osaze Odemwingie and John Mikel Obi.

AFCON finalists Cote d’Ivoire are at home against Tanzania while African Champions Zambia face a daunting task as they travel up north to play Sudan with Chipolopolo boss Harve Rernard playing down the expectations from Zambian fans.
